Description

Bomectin is an antiparasitic injection for the treatment and control of ivermectin sensitive internal and external parasites of cattle and pigs. Bomectin controls gastrointestinal roundworms, lung worms, eye worms, sucking lice, screw worm fly and mites. The product consists of ivermectin in a non-sting base.

Analysis and Justification

The active ingredients ivermectin is in a class of medications called anthelmintics. It treats strongyloidosis by killing the worms in the intestines. It treats onchocerciasis by killing the developing worms.

Decision

In accordance with General Interpretative Rule 1 of the Harmonized System, Bomectin (Injection & Pour On) is classified under tariff sub-heading 3004.90
