About Us

The Customs and Excise Department (CED) is a division within the Ministry of Finance and Planning and one of the two main revenue collecting agencies of the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The legal frame work is set by the Principal Act, the Customs (Control and Management) Act, Chapter # 422 and other subsidiary legislations. The primary functions of the Department are collection and protection of the Government's revenue, combating smuggling and terrorism, and facilitating the flow of legitimate international trade and travel. The Department also performs agency duties on behalf of other government departments.

Customs and Excise strives to build effective partnerships with our clients and stakeholders; we are committed to excellent service and to improve literacy in Customs and Customs related matters.
